Evento 14 - 17 septiembre 2011

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the 2011 FDI Annual World Dental Congress in Mexico City, September 14-17, 2011. We are excited to return to Mexico City since the congresses in 1972 and 1999 to once again experience the warm hospitality so typical of Mexicans.

Under the theme of “New Horizons in Oral Health Care”, this congress will offer a platform to learn and exchange ideas with a host of internationally renowned speakers participating in a cutting edge scientific programme jointly developed by the FDI and the Mexican Dental Association (ADM). The choice of Mexico City for the 99th Annual World Dental Congress will provide delegates with unique opportunities to develop their professional knowledge and skills as well as to network with a truly global audience. I also strongly encourage you to take advantage of the presence of over 200 exhibiting companies to keep up to date with evolving technologies of equipment and the latest dental materials.

A visit to Mexico would not be complete without taking advantage of discovering the rich culture, gastronomic traditions and multicolored folklore the country provides. There will be many opportunities to experience these during the congress and, should you decide to extend your stay in the country, you can take the opportunity to further discover Mexico’s biodiversity through specially selected excursions throughout the country.

I am greatly looking forward to the 2011 FDI Annual World Dental Congress in Mexico City and look forward to meeting you there!

Kind regards,

Dr. Roberto Vianna
FDI President

SECURITY UPDATE

We look forward to welcoming you to the FDI World Dental Congress in Mexico City. Recently some important security measures have been implemented in the city for the safety of our visitors and delegates of the congress:

1. Secure our City Project: 8,088 monitoring cameras have been installed around the city’s streets in addition to cameras already in use in the Subway
2. Protect our Airport: A programme which has vastly reduced crime and theft in the airport
3. Mexico’s City Citizens Security Council: A call centre operated by professionals and manned 24 hours a day.

In addition to the existing security measures that the Mexico City Police Department usually applies in Mexico City, special operations are planned for the World Dental Federation Congress, both in terms of safety and transportation.
