Ortho Award 2010
I received a letter from Jairo Correa of the São Paulo Orthodontics Society (SPO), inviting me to the opening ceremony of its congress, where he will be honored with the "Dr. Paulo Affonso de Freitas" Diploma and Medal. The event will be held in the Elis Regina auditorium of the Convention Palace in Anhembi, São Paulo, October 14th. www.spo.org.br

Academy Honors
In October 26th Dr. Harold Cauduro, founder of RGO, and Dr. Marilia Gehradt de Oliveira, of CBCTBM, who will assume her position at AcBO, will be honored. The party will be at the Sheraton Hotel and the godfather will be Prof. Clovis Marzola. www.acbo.org.br

Congress in Caxambu
This traditional Congress in the South of Minas took place in September. Our friend Jander Ruela de Cuiabá informs that a dentist from Copacabana, Mauricio Assumpção Souza Jr., is now chairman of the famous Botafogo Football and Regattas Club. Dental 3D site
The son of our friend Nelson Tomaz LaScala, Cicero attended my practice management course last Friday on Dent TV, where he announced the new internet site about holistic treatment he is launching. Friend or villain?

Dentist in Haiti
Paulo Guimaraes, who was with the UN mission in Haiti on the day of the earthquake and later worked to rescue victims, invites you to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Funding of the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Technique (CPR). Studies have shown that the most important factor for survival of sudden death is the presence of a trained rescuer. Candidate dentist
Checking the outcome of the elections for Paraná State Representative, I found one candidate that is a dentist but unfortunately got few votes, probably because colleagues didn't know about his candidacy. Dentists vote
The Dental Surgeons Association of Campinas (ACDC) sent an e-mail asking members to vote in the elections. The initiative, which joins colleagues with common interests, should become something regular for dentists. I would like to recognize dentists elected for state office, so please contact me with the information.
