Dr. Adán Yáñez, president of the Ibero-Latin American Dental Federation (FDILA), headquartered in Mexico (federaciondental.com), generously offered to devote all of its conference in Puerto Vallarta to the "A Smile for Haiti" global campaign.
In the event, to be held on May 12 16, 2010, will participate prominent Latin American speakers who will donate their fees to help their fellow Haitian dentists. Among the confirmed speakers are doctos Miguel Asenjo (Dominican Republic), Sergio Kohen (Argentina) and Enrique Jadad (Colombia).
In addition, FDILA will host a gala dinner to raise funds and is offering discounts to commercial exhibitors who sponsor the conferences, reserve booths or donate materials to Haiti.
Dr. Yáñez traveled to Chicago from Mexico to coordinate this event, and met with the presidents of the ADA and CDS.
