LAS VEGAS – More than 28,000 attendees from 79 different countries arrived here to attend the American Dental Association’s (ADA) 152nd Annual Session and World Marketplace Exhibition at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center Oct. 10-13.

Kicking off its Annual Session on Monday was former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, as its “2011 Distinguished Speaker.” The ADA Annual Session offers attendees the choice of more than 260 relevant and topical continuing education courses such as pain control, dental sleep medicine, esthetic dental procedures, forensics, geriatric dentistry and oral systemic health, with more than 50 percent of CE seats free with registration. More than 70 hands-on workshops will also be offered.

Attendees can also choose from unique learning opportunities such as live-patient courses in the “Education in the Round” learning format, and a variety of high-tech courses in the ADA’s “LOC” (Learn, Optimize and Connect) featuring hands-on laser education, live-patient CAD/CAM demonstrations and more.
