SANTIAGO - European implants manufacturer Global Medical Implants (GMI) was one of the companies that participated for first time in the Salon Dental Chile, the main dental event in this country.

GMI introduced innovations such as its Frontier brand, internal connection implants made of grade IV titanium, ensuring stability and excellent biocompatibility. Frontier is gaining wide acceptance in Latin America due to its excellent properties and value.

GMI-Chile General Manager Ximena Brevis said these implants are rapidly gaining market share here because they meet high-quality scientific and manufacturing requirements
from the European Community and are an alternative to better known but more expensive brands.

"We are quickly positioning them in Chile because many dentists realized that they are high-quality implants at a very reasonable price," Brevis said.

The GMI manager explains that recognized Chilean implantologists such as Hector Gonzalez use GMI implants, and that their marketing is having a major impact in Santiago and other cities such as Viña del Mar and Concepcion.

Educational Courses
Ximena Brevis added that there are currently developing a series of workshops to advise dentists and graduate students on the use of GMI implants.

"Cristian Arriagada is in charge of scientific and educational development of GMI implants," explained Brevis referring to the Chilean implantologist.

The GMI manager added that they are planning a series of symposia in Chile with leading national and international implantologists to explain the advantages these implants offer due to their ease of use.

At the Salon Dental Chile 2011 Spanish specialist Jaime Franco gave a lecture on new developments and techniques in implantology using GMI implants. Franco explained that currently all implants systems are very similar, dentists should choose quality systems that are easy to use, that offer proven benefits at a reasonable price.

"In August 2011 we will participate in a scientific implants and osseointegration event that will take place at the Santiago Marriott Hotel and will focus on important scientific areas for dentists and specialists," added Brevis.

She explained that, unlike many companies, GMI Chile has focused on providing the dentist with clinical and scientific advice, and great service.

"Our motto is: slowly but surely," says Brevis. "We prefer to invest time so our customers are satisfied, rather than focuse solely on increasing sales."

That's probably why GMI Chile attracted great interest among dentists at the Salon Dental Chile. The GMI team took as much time as necessary to explain clients the advantages and techniques of their implants.

At a time when dentistry is changing, GMI offers an affordable and durable solution with the added benefit of facilitating and simplifying the clinical steps needed to safely place their implants.
