La campaña para los dentistas de Haití obtiene resultados

ORLANDO, Florida, USA. La campaña de la Asociación Dental Americana para reconstruir consultorios dentales en Haití entró en su apogeo durante la Sesión Anual de la ADA 2010. En pocos meses la campaña "Adopte un consultorio en Haití" ha recaudado más de US $62.000 para ayudar a los colegas haitianos que perdieron sus prácticas en el terremoto del 12 de enero. El objetivo es recolectar un total de 300.000 dólares para la reconstrucción de 30 consultorios dentales en Haití.

Campaign To Help Haitian Dentists Getting Results

ORLANDO, Florida, USA – The American Dental Association’s campaign to rebuild dental practices in Haiti is in full swing here at the 2010 Annual Session, which runs October 8-11. In just a few months the "Adopt-a-Practice" campaign has collected over $62,000 to help Haitian colleagues who lost their practices in the January 12th earthquake. It aims to collect a total of $300.000 to rebuild 30 dental offices in Haiti.

The election of Dr. Maria Fidela de Lima Navarro, Dean of the Bauru Dental School (FOB-Bauru) at the University of São Paulo, as president of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) is a great recognition of the high level of dental research being conducted in Brazil. In addition to taking over the organization at the upcoming IADR General Session in Barcelona, Spain, Brazil will be the venue of the 2010 international congress of FDI and of the 2012 IADR General Session, which shows the stature it has finally achieved. Dr. Maria Fidela de Lima explains in this interview the significance of her election as president of the largest dental research organization in the world.
